Accident!
I haven't blogged for about a month but I have been doing some running and it has mainly been free of knee/calf/ankle pain, so am very happy! I have been mainly running on the gym treadmill for safety, but I have started running outside and all is well. I even did 19k or so outside last Thursday, so was very pleased that it was with no pain! Today, the plan in my half-marathon training plan was for easy running, then four 8s sprints (fartlek) then easy running, then three 9:30m medium pace stints (intervals) with some walking afterwards, and then gentle running at the end. The medium pace bits were aimed to be well below 5k pace, so I thought it was an easily achievable plan! I was very wrong! The gentle running was obviously no problem, and the fartlek was ok even if my sprinting wasn't so fast, but it was decent!! But the intervals were much harder than I expected.
